Cookie policy
Last updated: 13 May 2026
This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used by gridatlas.com. We aim to use as few as possible.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. We also use related technologies such as localStorage for client-side state. For brevity we refer to all of these as “cookies”.
2. What we use them for
GridAtlas uses only strictly necessary first-party cookies. We do not run third-party analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking on the application.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-*-auth-token | Supabase Auth | Keeps you signed in across requests. | ~1 hour (refreshed automatically) |
sb-*-auth-token.0 / sb-*-auth-token.1 | Supabase Auth | Long-lived refresh token used to renew your session. | Up to 1 year |
| Stripe billing cookies | Stripe (only on the Checkout / Customer Portal pages) | Fraud prevention and session continuity during payment. | Session / per Stripe's policy |
3. Why we don't show a cookie banner
Under UK PECR and the ICO's guidance, no consent is required for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service the user has explicitly requested (in our case: signing in and processing a payment). All cookies listed above fall into that category.
If we ever introduce optional cookies (e.g. analytics or marketing), we will publish a cookie banner that asks for your consent before any such cookie is set, and update this page.
4. Controlling cookies
You can clear cookies and site data at any time from your browser's settings. Doing so will sign you out of GridAtlas; you can sign back in afterwards. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the Service from working.
5. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if our cookie use changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the current version.
